For the first time this school year, the Chamber Orchestra is having their first performance in tour form. They will be spending December 13, going to different nursing homes to perform a variety of classic Christmas songs.
The group of 14 will be excused from school at 9 AM to ride to bus to rock around the Christmas tree at Eventide Senior Living at 10 AM. After shoveling their way through the first performance, they are given time to allow their fingers to heal and a break for lunch at West Acres Mall at 11:15 AM. After spending time eating and talking about the differences of a violin and viola, they will make their final stop at the Good Samaritan Society at 1 PM. All day the chamber well be dedicated to spreading cheer to our community by playing the well-known songs of the holiday season. They will be arriving back at school around 2 PM to finish off the school day.
The holidays brings so much joy and happiness, and the chamber is so excited to be sharing the holiday spirit with the people in nursing homes. From the chamber, have a holiday full of music and cheer.
