FCCLA, known as Family Career and Community Leaders of America, has started out for the school year.
Anybody who is interested in learning or even joining the group can join by paying the dues ($45) and attending the bi-weekly meetings. There is a two-day conference coming up on the 13 and 14 of October, with guest speakers and breakout sessions. Another reason to join would be the feel-good volunteer work! FCCLA does concessions and bake sales for fundraisers throughout the year, so look out for them in the commons!
Looking at their STAR events can show what they do competitively, the most popular have been Interior Design, Focus on Children, Fashion Construction, Professional Presentation, and Food Innovations. There are 50 more events! If you are interested in finding out about the events, you can go to the FCCLA website or reach out to Mrs. Saunders.
