The premier fall event of the season is almost upon us! We’re talking about Hawktoberfest, an event that the Horace Hawk Boosters go out of their way to put on for the Horace Community.
What is Hawktoberfest? This event is a gathering of parents, community members, and coaches with the shared goal of supporting activities at Horace and Heritage. It is packaged as a traditional Octoberfest and is fun for everyone 21+. In the past there have been a variety of traditional games like Hammerschlagen and delicious German food.
There are great auction Items and prizes! The Boosters, in conjunction with the Speech, Debate, and Congress teams, have been reaching out to different businesses and community organizations. Does your organization want to donate? There is still time!
Different clubs and teams have provided baskets and auction items. The Boosters are offering a $500 prize to the fundraising account of whichever program’s silent auction items / basket receive the largest bids.
The live auction items, silent auction items, and prizes this year are amazing! There will be a variety of big-ticket items to bid on. Scheels donated huge items. There are UND tickets. There are Bison tickets. There are even Vikings tickets. To make traveling to those games easy, there are Yeti coolers as well. There are items for everyone! A classic style Pacman arcade machine! Are you a football enthusiast? A signed Cody Mauch Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jersey is up for auction.
The BIGGEST item? A reserved parking spot up front at Horace High School for the rest of the year. This is priceless and there is no telling how much this kingly parking spot will go for.
The auction will be accessible online as well! You can watch your favorite items and stay in the game. The link for this will be on the Hawk Booster Facebook and Hawk Booster Instagram.
How do I get involved? Put October 12 on your calendar and buy your ticket here now! We will be at the Good Ole Horace Senior Center. Social and auctions start at 5 pm with dinner and games to follow at 6 pm. Tickets are $50. This is the must attend event this season. Don’t miss out!
