This year’s homecoming is a busy week with lots of opportunities for fun including volleyball, football, and even a recreational powder puff game.
Volleyball has games at home on Tuesday and Thursday at 7 o’clock! Their first match takes place on Tuesday against the West Fargo Packers who the lady Hawks previously beat in a 5-set barn burner This will be a competitive game as the Packers have both Ellee McIntosh who just committed to play volleyball at UND and Raina Chwialkowski, who is committed to Maryland for volleyball. Later in the week, they face Grand Forks Central for the official Homecoming Game. Show up to support your Hawks volleyball team!
Another activity that’s guaranteed a good time is the Annual Powder Puff Game. This flag football game occurs on Wednesday the 2nd at 7:30 between the seniors and juniors. Last year during the first Annual Horace High Powder Puff game the seniors were defeated by the juniors in a game that is traditionally won by the seniors. The current seniors and former juniors look forward to continuing their streak this year! If you want to support the seniors, wear pink, and if you’re going to support the juniors, wear orange!
Last but certainly not least is the Homecoming Football Game! Whether you’re a football fanatic or not, this is a must-see game! Football is having a great year so far, only losing to the Jamestown Bluejays at the beginning of the season. They are on a 3-game winning streak, taking down Minot North, Bis. St. Mary’s, and GF Central. The Hawks look to make it 4 this Friday at 6 against the Wahpeton Huskies. The theme is Hawk spirit so go all out in gold and black!
This week’s activities are the perfect chance to show your Hawk pride and get loud for your athletes!
