In all my articles recently, I have brought up how “the holiday season is coming up” but, in this article, I have to say, “the holiday season is here!” This week is our last week of the 2024 school year, and the next time we see each other, it will be 2025. It felt like just yesterday I was telling my friends, “See you next decade,” at the end of 2019.
Amongst the excitement, there also may be some questions. For example, “when do we start school again?” Do not fret, for I am here to answer all your questions. We get out of school on the 20 of December, and come back on Thursday, January 2. Unfortunately, I do not know why we don’t postpone our return to the Monday, but that is a different matter of its own. Another important thing to note is that the semester ends on the 10th. Make sure you know where your classes are and who your new teachers are, as classes do get moved around after the first semester. Finally, there will be an off-site learning day on the 20th of January for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Inauguration Day.
Throughout the school year, there are plenty of days we get off, and it is important to keep track so we don’t show up to a closed school. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday break, and I must remind everyone to turn their homework in on time, so they don’t miss out on festive activities.
