Every year, the West Fargo Police and Fire Department has a competition with each other to see which organization can donate more socks to the Golden Sock Drive. This year, the West Fargo Police Department have made Horace High their drop off spot for the socks. The socks collected from this drive go to homeless children, and other people in need within the area.
Since Horace High is the drop off spot for the socks collected by the WFPD, a few students in the National Honors Society, Eva Leet, Yazmin Le Baron, and Emily Hutchison, have decided to take responsibility of the sock drive at our high school!
From September 1st to October 3rd, advisories will be competing against each other to donate the most socks. Socks must be new and unused. It’s simple, just bring the socks to your advisory, and there will be a place to put them! At the end of the drive, whichever advisory collected the most socks will celebrate with a donut party!
Let’s come together and help collect socks for our community!
