The city of Horace is kicking off its annual bean days celebration from Saturday September 5th to Sunday September 7th. Celebrate the city of Horace and our Hawks activities this weekend through a variety of fun and spirited events!
Friday, September 5th kicks off the bean days celebration with a barking good time. Camp out at Meadowlark Park at 7:00 pm to watch Horace’s best dogs strut in their shiniest collars and bedazzled bones in the Horace Dog Show.
While the dogs are prancing the runway, our Horace Hawks’ Football team will storm the field in an intense Homecoming game against Kindred. Get some concessions, put on your finest Hawks’ gear, and cheer on our Hawks’ football team at 7pm at the Horace high school football field.
After the Hawks soar to greatness, head to Horace High School for the Homecoming Dance. Enjoy snacks and dancing with friends as Horace celebrates the conclusion of Homecoming week.
On Saturday, enjoy a variety of fun and competitive activities throughout the town of Horace.
The day starts off with a parade headed right down the main drag of Horace. Look out for candy and support our Hawks’ activities as they ride down the main drag of Horace in elaborate and crafty floats. After the parade, enjoy a mirage of activities. From a beard and mustache competition, to a 5K run, and a craft and vendor fair, there is something for everyone!
Sunday concludes the eventful weekend with the Horace Hawks Booster Club’s second annual golf scramble. Support the activities and teams at Horace High and play for a chance to win up to $10,000 in a hole in one contest. Registration is now open, but be quick, spots are limited for this putting good event!
After you have aced the golf course, stuff your belly and support the Lions Club at the Horace Senior Center for the Lion’s pancake feed.
