  • Turn in missing work

(start by prioritizing big assignments or tests/quizzes that will boost your grade the most)

  • Create: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time bound goals to finish the semester strong
  • Make a distraction-free space for work time
  • Create a schedule that works for you
  • Don’t procrastinate

Reminders

Quarter ends Friday January 13th

Semester grade is calculated by half of your quarter 1 grade and half of your quarter 2 grade added together. Let’s say you had 84% quarter 1 and 68% quarter 2. Your semester grade would be 76%. Although quarter grades do affect your GPA, your semester grade is the only one put on your transcript.

Your classes may change! Check PowerSchool for your semester 2 schedule.

Some things that work for other people may not work for you. Just because a classmate takes a test without studying doesn’t mean you should. Finds what makes you successful and advocate for yourself.

Going into next quarter/semester you have a fresh slate. Determine what your realistic goal for your grade is. Create smaller goals that will guide you to your overall grade goal.

At the end of the day, while all this is important, taking care of yourself should be at the top of your list. You will be the most successful when your brain and body are taken care of.
