December 12 at 7:15 is the first home Girl’s Varsity Basketball game. The Varsity Girl’s Basketball team is coming off a 7–12-win record.

Right now, the team has been working hard to master the trivial things. We got an interview from Jordan Christofferson who plays as a power forward. She stated, “For the past 2 weeks in practice we have been focusing on the little things. In order to play our best game, we need to first implement the basics once again to make sure we are all doing them correctly.” They have been preparing for their first game by doing different drills and lifting 2-3 times per week.

The team has many individual and team goals for this season. Their team goal is to start playing for each other and coming together as a team. In addition, we had an interview with Jaiden Hail. Her goal for this season is to be in the top 4 for EDC.

This season, the team got new coaches! The new coaches, Hintz, and Hanson are helping our girls reach their full potential. All the girls think highly of their coaches. Jordan went on to say, “They strive to make us better and aren’t afraid to tell us the hard truth if it’s needed to be said.”

The team is ready to put in the work to make this season great. Do not forget to come to support our girls next Tuesday at 7:15!
