Waltzing in a Winter Wonderland

January 13 is Horace’s third annual Winter Formal. This year, the theme is Winter Wonderland! It was created by our wonderful student council. You can get tickets for five dollars in advance or ten dollars at the door.

Everyone is invited, 9–12 grade. The dress code is semi-formal. Meaning you should dress fun and elegantly. Boys should wear a suit, dress, shirt, and tie. Girls should wear short fun dresses or dress pants. The dance will take place in the commons. If you want to bring a date from another school, you need to fill out a form and turn it in a week before the dance. The forms are in the office if you need them. Remember, no one 21 and over will be allowed into the dance. There will be light refreshments provided, like chips, cookies, and drinks.

This year will be a huge improvement from last year. We got an interview with Veda Voegele, the student council president. She said that this year we will have a new DJ and more events leading up to the dance. The student council hopes that everyone will participate in these events. Some include a pep rally, dress-up week, and a muscle ball tournament.

Do not forget the formal is on January 13. We hope to see you all there!
