Have you set a New Year’s resolution? I know we have! But there is a wonder, if New Year’s resolutions or goal setting even help us. When people set New Year’s resolutions, there is falling statistics. After 1 week, 75% of people still have their goals. And after 6 months, 46% of people are still keeping their goals up. Even with this information, people still believe a new year is a new slate to become the best of themselves.

Goal setting can be good for you. Not just in the beginning of the year, but anytime. Here are some reasons you should consider setting a goal for yourself. Goals help you trigger new behaviors and can inspire you to do more. Goals refine decision making skills and help identify what’s important to you personally. Setting a goal can get you motivated to make a change.

With January being the most depressive month of the year, it just might be time to start goal making for you.
